Via Kalamata airport: Approximately 48km away, Kalamata is the nearest airport to Stoupa. Flights leave Kalamata for Crete and Thessaloniki throughout the year but to the UK only during the holiday season of May to October.

Travelling from Kalamata airport: Immediately outside of arrivals can be found a Taxi rank, the average cost of a taxi journey from the airport is around 55/60 euros (although you can agree a price with the driver before starting your journey). It is approximately a 50 minute drive to the village. Should you wish we at Stoupa Properties can pre book a taxi to meet you at the airport. Alternatively Car rental facilities are available at the airport. There is a bus service that runs daily from Kalamata to Stoupa at the following times...  04.45  07.30  13.15  &  17.00 (The early bus does not run on Saturdays or Sundays) The cost of the bus journey is at present under 4 Euros(subject to change). Bus timetables are subject to change - We recommend you use our "useful phone numbers´ listing to contact the bus garage for confirmation of timetables before travelling.

Via Athens International airport: With the advantage of being open all year round although Athens airport is further in distance from Stoupa it is quite often the case that very low Flight ticket prices can be secured. 

From May 2010 there will be daily flights from Athens to Kalamata with Aegean Air.  http://en.aegeanair.com/default.aspxhttp://en

For those who prefer to overnight in Athens we can give you a link to a hotel near the airport which offers a pick up and drop off service if accommodation is booked online.  We have no personal knowledge of the hotel but it was recommended to us by one of our guests.

Travelling from Athens International airport: At the airport you can take the X93 transfer bus  to the Kifissos bus terminal in central Athens, from where there is a direct bus service to Stoupa at 1.45pm 7 days a week (arrives at Stoupa at approximately 19.30). Alternatively there are buses every hour from Kifissos to Kalamata from where you can continue your journey by Taxi. Once again Car rental is readily available at the airport and the straight forward drive (maps and directions are available from the car rental companys found in the airport) from Athens to Stoupa takes approximately 4 hours (Please note: Stoupa Properties do not have the facilities to deliver hire cars to this airport).
